Why we built it

We got obsessed with who works well with whom.

Frequency started with a frustration anyone who's built a team knows: two talented people, grinding — and nobody could say exactly why.

We kept watching it happen. A great operator and a great founder who somehow exhausted each other. Two strong leaders who couldn't stop fighting over the same wheel. A thoughtful hire who slowly went quiet and left within the year — and nobody saw it coming, because on paper everything was fine.

None of these were bad people. They were mismatched in ways no résumé and no personality test could surface. The tools we tried described each person beautifully and then went silent on the only question that mattered: how will these two actually work together?

So we built the thing that answers it — and made it something the person being read would actually want to keep.

Underneath Frequency is a real compatibility engine: six continuous behavioral dimensions, scored against decades of published psychology, and a model of how any two of them mesh, clash, and can be run on purpose. It names the friction before it costs you, and hands you the manual to work through it.

But the science is only half of it. We were just as stubborn about the experience. We've all taken the clinical assessment that felt like a hurdle and got filed away forever. Frequency is the opposite: fifteen minutes that feel like someone finally asking the right questions, and a profile so accurate you want to send it to the people who know you. When the thing you take to understand a working relationship is also a gift to the person you're reading, everyone leans in — and that's when it works.

We're a small team that cares a little too much about craft, behavioral science, and the strange, specific magic of two people clicking. Frequency is what came out of it.

What we hold to

Four principles we don't bend on.

No bad profiles

Every position on every dimension is a real strength with a real shadow. We lead with the strength and name the shadow honestly. Nobody finishes Frequency feeling like the wrong answer.

Consent first, always

Nobody is read without taking it themselves, and everybody keeps their own profile. We don't scrape, we don't profile people behind their backs, and we never sell your data.

We show our work

Same answers, same profile, every time — and every read traces to a transparent model, not a black box. We're honest about what we've validated and what's still on the roadmap. We'd rather under-claim than fake it.

The relationship is the unit

Most tools stop at the individual. We think the interesting, useful, hard-to-see truth lives in the space between two people — so that's what we built Frequency to read.

See what we mean — on yourself.

Free, fifteen minutes, and genuinely yours to keep.
